Our classroom mini-economy program has begun. Students have applied to be in the fourth grade (all were accepted!) and have been assigned a classroom job. Students are being trained for their new positions.
The students will be collecting pay, paying rent and IOU's, and earning bonuses. The students will have to make difficult spending decisions...should they buy items in the classroom store now, or save up for larger purchases in the future?
The success of the mini-economy program depends upon the quality of items that are for sale in our classroom store. We are always looking for donations of new items. Suggested items include school supplies, games, stuffed animals, candy, craft items, and books. For additional ideas, just ask your child what they would like to see for sale in the classroom store. We would love to have parent helpers on any of the Store and Banking Days (usually Friday afternoons). If you would like to volunteer to help, send me an email with your interest.
